Swiss Design became the establishment. Punk's answer: corrupt it, overload it, break it intentionally.

The Story

Swiss Punk is exactly what it sounds like: the grid-breaking, anti-establishment child of Swiss Design. While Swiss Design had become the corporate lingua franca of global corporations, a generation of Swiss designers asked: what if we used these tools to subvert the system they built? The answer was posters that looked broken on purpose — typography that overflowed, collided, distorted. Not chaos for chaos's sake, but calculated disruption. Swiss Punk posters from the 1980s look like a computer virus and a manifesto at the same time.
